NDC billboards flood Tamale despite warning by party leadership

Billboards bearing information of aspiring regional executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has overflow the northern regional capital despite a directive by the national leadership of the party to refrain from mounting campaign billboards.

The opposition NDC weeks back warned candidates in its upcoming national and regional executive election from mounting billboards as they campaign for the posts.

A statement sighted by Starrfm said the party will also take action against candidates who post more than 20 posters at the conference grounds during the NDC national conference.

The directive came after a representative of the UK’s Conservative Party Dr. John Hayward expressed concerns over the elaborate posters at conference grounds during his solidarity message.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Monday opened nominations for regional positions.

According to the National Organizer for NDC, Kofi Adams, the nomination for aspirating regional executives ends on Wednesday and all contestants are expected to represent their forms by close of next Tuesday.
